Hush

Once-in-a-while, I would have to play my favorite tracks #5 & #12 of this early 90s album. Great fun, can't help smiling every time I listen to them.

1. Grace - B McFerrin
2. Double Mandolin Concerto, for 2 mandolins, strings & continuo in G major, RV 532 Andante - A Vivaldi
3. The Tale of Tsar Saltan (Skazka o Tsare Saltane), opera in 4 acts with a prologue The Flight of the Bumblebee - Nikolay Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov
4. Stars - B McFerrin
5. Hush Little Baby - Traditional
6. Vocalise, song for voice & piano, Op. 34/14 - S Rachmaninov
7. Musette for keyboard in D major, BWV Anh. 126 - JS Bach
8. Coyote - B McFerrin
9. Sonata for 2 cellos, No 10 in G Allegro Prestissimo - Jean Barriere
10. Ave Maria for voice & orchestra (or piano) (after Bach) - C Gounod
11. Hoedown! - B McFerrin
12. Suite for orchestra No 3 in D major, BWV 1068 Air - JS Bach
13. Good-bye - B McFerrin

Yo-Yo Ma is... Yo-Yo Ma. Bobbie is improvisational, vocal-sound-effect, jazz-pop - could already smell the funny chemistry. It's said that the album was planned as "children's pieces". Definitely it is very easy listening, and excitement is found everywhere. Hey, aren't these something grown-up would be thankful too? All good music and a lot of fun.
