ONJ

2007.04.15 ONJ @ HK Coliseum
Went to Olivia Newton-John's concert at HK Coliseum on Sunday night. They put up a diamond setting with a small (focused?) but decent stage. She sang beautifully, talked and smiled softly - so delicate that touched people's hearts. The band was playing nicely too, with the music director and leading guitarist changing guitar for every song. Back to the basic - the use of saxophone, flute, and harmonica helped a lot in the new arrangements of songs too.

I would say the concert was received warmly – people were giving her flowers and a guy even ran up to her and gave a letter - a letter is so romantic in this digital age.

I guess I've never watched Grease from end-to-end at one go. But you won't miss those greatest hits from the musicals as well as from ONJ's decades of career thereafter. Who wouldn't know 'Sam', 'Physical', 'Hopelessly devoted to you'... when they're played? Having said that, I think I'm among the youngest to be there.
