Dunno-Busy-for-What Week... time to recall...
13 August 2006, Sunday
1130 Flight from HK to BJ rescheduled from 1750 to 1850. Credit to CX who did a good job this time by SMS as well as calling my mobile informing so. Yet, this could not help in countering the current constant curse of flight delays. anyway.
2100 Finally, flight took off
0015 Arrived
Luckily, t and myself got upgraded to b-class and were fed and seated properly during the waiting hours.
0030 None of the cab driver we know was available to pick us up (!). Queue for cab. Poor t probably ate too much / wild while waiting, got stomachache and had to leave s and myself alone to take a cab.
0045 Got on a cab. Airport expressway closed for maintenance (now I know it's a routine after 2300). The driver could not stand the traffic jam and decided to route a "short cut" by taking a long-and-winding road. The lighting, if any, was bad. I guess both s and myself had flagged our red alert and I had my mobile phone ready in my hand - as if that helps. We came to a crossroad where another cab (surprise! another cab!) almost ran onto us. Our driver horned and braked but that cab still bumped a little into our rear! It just hit and ran without a trace. So our driver pulled to the side of the road and checked that, thanks god, nothing really big deal... still *sigh...

0130 Check-in Hotel - with a complete me, thanks god
0645 Check-out Hotel - went to another hotel for meeting. Don't ask why I lived and had meeting at different hotels.
2100 Flight depart for SH - surprisingly PUNTUAL! Soooooo touching...
2345 Check in Shangri-la Pudong. Kind of old though big, and expensive in a not-value-for-money way.

0630 Got up. Again, went to meeting at another hotel. This one, Intercontinental Pudong, offers good food at lunch and cocktail. Recommended.
1900 Dinner at the infamous LuLu Shanghaiese cuisine
2100 "Another taxi incident". Will tell if have chance
16 August 2006, Wednesday
2100 Moved out to the newly built Regent at downtown. Cool. Flat panel, dark wood, black leather, steel-wares, marble bath... and intelligent building.
